Matthew 24 | Matthew 26

25:1

Τότε ὁμοιωθήσεται ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν δέκα παρθένοις αἵτινες λαβοῦσαι τὰς λαμπάδας ἑαυτῶν ἐξῆλθον εἰς ὑπάντησιν τοῦ νυμφίου

Tote homoiōthēsetai hē basileia tōn ouranōn deka parthenois haitines labousai tas lampadas heautōn exēlthon eis hypantēsin tou nymphiou

Then will be like the kingdom of the heavens: ten virgins who having taken the lamps them have I come forth for meet of the bridegroom

25:2

πέντε δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν ἦσαν μωραὶ καὶ φρόνιμοι

pente de ex autōn ēsan mōrai kai phronimoi

five however out of of them they were foolish And shrewd

25:3

αἱ γὰρ μωραὶ λαβοῦσαι τὰς λαμπάδας ‹αὐτῶν› οὐκ ἔλαβον μεθ’ ἑαυτῶν ἔλαιον

hai gar mōrai labousai tas lampadas autōn ouk elabon meth’ heautōn elaion

the for foolish having taken the lamps of them not received with them oil

25:4

αἱ δὲ φρόνιμοι ἔλαβον ἔλαιον ἐν τοῖς ἀγγείοις μετὰ τῶν λαμπάδων ἑαυτῶν

hai de phronimoi elabon elaion en tois angeiois meta tōn lampadōn heautōn

the however shrewd received oil in on the vessels with of the lamps them

25:5

χρονίζοντος δὲ τοῦ νυμφίου ἐνύσταξαν πᾶσαι καὶ ἐκάθευδον

chronizontos de tou nymphiou enystaxan pasai kai ekatheudon

Tarrying however of the bridegroom they became drowsy all And were sleeping

25:6

Μέσης δὲ νυκτὸς κραυγὴ γέγονεν Ἰδοὺ ὁ νυμφίος ἐξέρχεσθε εἰς ἀπάντησιν ‹αὐτοῦ›

mesēs de nyktos kraugē gegonen Idou ho nymphios exerchesthe eis apantēsin autou

At middle however night a cry had been done Behold - bridegroom Go forth for meet of Him

25:7

Τότε ἠγέρθησαν πᾶσαι αἱ παρθένοι ἐκεῖναι καὶ ἐκόσμησαν τὰς λαμπάδας ἑαυτῶν

Tote ēgerthēsan pasai hai parthenoi ekeinai kai ekosmēsan tas lampadas heautōn

Then arose all the virgins those And trimmed the lamps them

25:8

αἱ δὲ μωραὶ ταῖς φρονίμοις εἶπαν Δότε ἡμῖν ἐκ τοῦ ἐλαίου ὑμῶν ὅτι λαμπάδες ἡμῶν σβέννυνται

hai de mōrai tais phronimois eipan Dote hēmin ek tou elaiou hymōn hoti lampades hēmōn sbennyntai

the however foolish - wise they said Give to us from of the oil you - lamps us are going out

25:9

Ἀπεκρίθησαν δὲ αἱ φρόνιμοι λέγουσαι Μή¦Ποτε οὐ μὴ ἀρκέσῃ ἡμῖν καὶ ὑμῖν πορεύεσθε μᾶλλον πρὸς τοὺς πωλοῦντας ἀγοράσατε ἑαυταῖς

apekrithēsan de hai phronimoi legousai Mēpote ou mē arkesē hēmin kai hymin poreuesthe mallon pros tous pōlountas agorasate heautais

Answered however the shrewd saying Lest not not it might suffice to us And to you go rather to the selling buy for yourselves

25:10

Ἀπερχομένων δὲ αὐτῶν ἀγοράσαι ἦλθεν ὁ νυμφίος καὶ αἱ ἕτοιμοι εἰσῆλθον μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς τοὺς γάμους ἐκλείσθη ἡ θύρα

aperchomenōn de autōn agorasai ēlthen ho nymphios kai hai hetoimoi eisēlthon met’ autou eis tous gamous ekleisthē hē thyra

[While] are going away however of them to buy [that] came - bridegroom And the ready entered with of Him’” for the a wedding feast was shut the door

25:11

Ὕστερον δὲ ἔρχονται καὶ αἱ λοιπαὶ παρθένοι λέγουσαι Κύριε κύριε ἄνοιξον ἡμῖν

Hysteron de erchontai kai hai loipai parthenoi legousai Kyrie kyrie anoixon hēmin

Afterward however they come And the other virgins saying Lord Lord open to us

25:12

Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν οὐκ οἶδα ὑμᾶς

ho de apokritheis eipen Amēn legō hymin ouk oida hymas

- however He answering said Truly I say to you not I know you

25:13

Γρηγορεῖτε οὖν ὅτι οὐκ οἴδατε τὴν ἡμέραν οὐδὲ ὥραν ⧼ἐν ᾗ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἔρχεται⧽

grēgoreite oun hoti ouk oidate tēn hēmeran oude hōran en hē ho huios tou anthrōpou erchetai

Keep watch therefore - not understand you the day nor hour in which - son of the of Man comes

25:14

Ὥσπερ γὰρ ἄνθρωπος ἀποδημῶν ἐκάλεσεν τοὺς ἰδίους δούλους καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοῖς τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτοῦ

hōsper gar anthrōpos apodēmōn ekalesen tous idious doulous kai paredōken autois ta hyparchonta autou

As for a man going on a journey He called the own servants And betrayed to them the possessing of Him’”

25:15

καὶ ᾧ μὲν ἔδωκεν πέντε τάλαντα δὲ δύο ἕν ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὴν ἰδίαν δύναμιν ἀπεδήμησεν Εὐθέως

kai hō men edōken pente talanta de dyo hen hekastō kata tēn idian dynamin apedēmēsen eutheōs

And which - he gave five talents however two one to each one with the private power traveled abroad Immediately

25:16

Πορευθεὶς ὁ τὰ πέντε τάλαντα λαβὼν ἠργάσατο ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐκέρδησεν ἄλλα

poreutheis ho ta pente talanta labōn ērgasato en autois kai ekerdēsen alla

Having gone - the five talents having taken she did in to them And made other

25:17

ὡσαύτως ὁ τὰ δύο ἐκέρδησεν ἄλλα

hōsautōs ho ta dyo ekerdēsen alla

likewise - the two made other

25:18

ὁ δὲ τὸ ἓν λαβὼν ἀπελθὼν ὤρυξεν γῆν καὶ ἔκρυψεν ἀργύριον τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ

ho de to hen labōn apelthōn ōryxen gēn kai ekrypsen argyrion tou kyriou autou

- however the one having taken having gone dug soil And hid money of the of [the] Lord of Him’”

25:19

Μετὰ δὲ πολὺν χρόνον ἔρχεται ὁ κύριος τῶν δούλων ἐκείνων καὶ συναίρει λόγον μετ’ αὐτῶν

Meta de polyn chronon erchetai ho kyrios tōn doulōn ekeinōn kai synairei logon met’ autōn

After however a great time comes - master of the servants same And takes matter with of them

25:20

καὶ προσελθὼν ὁ τὰ πέντε τάλαντα λαβὼν προσήνεγκεν ἄλλα λέγων Κύριε τάλαντά μοι παρέδωκας ἴδε ἐκέρδησα

kai proselthōn ho ta pente talanta labōn prosēnenken alla legōn Kyrie talanta moi paredōkas ide ekerdēsa

And having come to [her] - the five talents having taken brought to [him] other saying Lord talents Me you did deliver look have I gained

25:21

Ἔφη αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ Εὖ δοῦλε ἀγαθὲ καὶ πιστέ ἐπὶ ὀλίγα ἦς πιστός πολλῶν σε καταστήσω εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν χαρὰν τοῦ κυρίου σου

Ephē autō ho kyrios autou Eu doule agathe kai piste epi oliga ēs pistos pollōn se katastēsō eiselthe eis tēn charan tou kyriou sou

Answered to Him - master of Him’” Well done servant good And faithful at a few you were faithful many You will I set enter for the joy of the of [the] Lord of You

25:22

Προσελθὼν ‹δὲ› καὶ ὁ τὰ δύο τάλαντα εἶπεν Κύριε τάλαντά μοι παρέδωκας ἴδε ἄλλα ἐκέρδησα

proselthōn de kai ho ta dyo talanta eipen Kyrie talanta moi paredōkas ide alla ekerdēsa

Having come now And - the two talents said Lord talents Me you did deliver look other have I gained

25:23

Ἔφη αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ Εὖ δοῦλε ἀγαθὲ καὶ πιστέ ἐπὶ ὀλίγα ἦς πιστός πολλῶν σε καταστήσω εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν χαρὰν τοῦ κυρίου σου

25:24

Προσελθὼν δὲ καὶ ὁ τὸ ἓν τάλαντον εἰληφὼς εἶπεν Κύριε ἔγνων σε ὅτι σκληρὸς εἶ ἄνθρωπος θερίζων ὅπου οὐκ ἔσπειρας συνάγων ὅθεν οὐ διεσκόρπισας

proselthōn de kai ho to hen talanton eilēphōs eipen Kyrie egnōn se hoti sklēros ei anthrōpos therizōn hopou ouk espeiras synagōn hothen ou dieskorpisas

Having come however And - the one talent having received said Lord knew I You - hard are a man reaping where not did you sow gathering from where not you did scatter

25:25

καὶ φοβηθεὶς ἀπελθὼν ἔκρυψα τὸ τάλαντόν σου ἐν τῇ γῇ ἴδε ἔχεις σόν

kai phobētheis apelthōn ekrypsa to talanton sou en tē gē ide echeis son

And having been afraid having gone I hid the talent of You in the earth look you have yours

25:26

Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Πονηρὲ δοῦλε καὶ ὀκνηρέ ᾔδεις ὅτι θερίζω ὅπου οὐκ ἔσπειρα συνάγω ὅθεν οὐ διεσκόρπισα;

apokritheis de ho kyrios autou eipen autō Ponēre doule kai oknēre ēdeis hoti therizō hopou ouk espeira synagō hothen ou dieskorpisa

Answering however - master of Him’” said to Him Wicked servant And lazy You knew - I reap where not I sowed gather from where not I scattered

25:27

ἔδει σε οὖν βαλεῖν τὰ ἀργύριά μου τοῖς τραπεζίταις καὶ ἐλθὼν ἐγὼ ἐκομισάμην ἂν τὸ ἐμὸν σὺν τόκῳ

edei se oun balein ta argyria mou tois trapezitais kai elthōn egō ekomisamēn an to emon syn tokō

did it behoove You therefore to cast [it] the money of Me on the bankers And having come I would have received - the Mine with interest

25:28

Ἄρατε οὖν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ τὸ τάλαντον καὶ δότε τῷ ἔχοντι τὰ δέκα τάλαντα

arate oun ap’ autou to talanton kai dote tō echonti ta deka talanta

Take therefore from of Him’” the talent And give - having the ten talents

25:29

τῷ γὰρ ἔχοντι παντὶ δοθήσεται καὶ περισσευθήσεται τοῦ δὲ μὴ ἔχοντος ὃ ἔχει ἀρθήσεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ

tō gar echonti panti dothēsetai kai perisseuthēsetai tou de mē echontos ho echei arthēsetai ap’ autou

- for having every it will be given And he will be in abundance of the however not having that which has will be taken away from of Him’”

25:30

καὶ τὸν ἀχρεῖον δοῦλον ἐκβάλετε εἰς τὸ σκότος ἐξώτερον ἐκεῖ ἔσται ὁ κλαυθμὸς βρυγμὸς τῶν ὀδόντων

kai ton achreion doulon ekbalete eis to skotos exōteron ekei estai ho klauthmos brygmos tōn odontōn

And the worthless a servant cast out for the darkness outer there it will be - weeping gnashing of the teeth

25:31

Ὅταν δὲ ἔλθῃ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐν τῇ δόξῃ αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄγγελοι μετ’ τότε καθίσει ἐπὶ θρόνου δόξης

Hotan de elthē ho huios tou anthrōpou en tē doxē autou kai pantes hoi angeloi met’ tote kathisei epi thronou doxēs

When however it should come - son of the of Man in the glory of Him’” And all - angels with then He will sit at [the] throne glory

25:32

καὶ συναχθήσονται ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἀφορίσει αὐτοὺς ἀπ’ ἀλλήλων ὥσπερ ὁ ποιμὴν ἀφορίζει πρόβατα ἀπὸ τῶν ἐρίφων

kai synachthēsontai emprosthen autou panta ta ethnē aphorisei autous ap’ allēlōn hōsper ho poimēn aphorizei probata apo tōn eriphōn

And will be gathered before of Him’” all the nations He will separate they from one another as - shepherd separates sheep from of the goats

25:33

καὶ στήσει τὰ μὲν πρόβατα ἐκ δεξιῶν αὐτοῦ δὲ ἐρίφια ἐξ εὐωνύμων

kai stēsei ta men probata ek dexiōn autou de eriphia ex euōnymōn

And He will set the - sheep from [Your] right hand of Him’” however the goats out of [the] left hand

25:34

Τότε ἐρεῖ ὁ Βασιλεὺς τοῖς ἐκ δεξιῶν αὐτοῦ Δεῦτε οἱ εὐλογημένοι τοῦ Πατρός μου κληρονομήσατε τὴν ἡτοιμασμένην ὑμῖν βασιλείαν ἀπὸ καταβολῆς κόσμου

Tote erei ho Basileus tois ek dexiōn autou Deute hoi eulogēmenoi tou Patros mou klēronomēsate tēn hētoimasmenēn hymin basileian apo katabolēs kosmou

Then He will say - King on the from [Your] right hand of Him’” Come - being blessed of the Father of Me inherit the having been prepared to you kingdom from [the] foundation world

25:35

ἐπείνασα γὰρ καὶ ἐδώκατέ μοι φαγεῖν ἐδίψησα ἐποτίσατέ με ξένος ἤμην συνηγάγετέ

epeinasa gar kai edōkate moi phagein edipsēsa epotisate me xenos ēmēn synēgagete

I hungered for And you gave Me to eat I thirsted you gave to drink me a stranger I was you took in

25:36

γυμνὸς καὶ περιεβάλετέ με ἠσθένησα ἐπεσκέψασθέ ἐν φυλακῇ ἤμην ἤλθατε πρός

gymnos kai periebalete me ēsthenēsa epeskepsasthe en phylakē ēmēn ēlthate pros

naked And you clothed me I was sick you visited in prison I was you came to

25:37

Τότε ἀποκριθήσονται αὐτῷ οἱ δίκαιοι λέγοντες Κύριε πότε σε εἴδομεν πεινῶντα καὶ ἐθρέψαμεν ἢ διψῶντα ἐποτίσαμεν;

Tote apokrithēsontai autō hoi dikaioi legontes Kyrie pote se eidomen peinōnta kai ethrepsamen ē dipsōnta epotisamen

Then will answer to Him - righteous [men] saying Lord when You We saw hungering And fed [You]? or thirsting gave [You] to drink?

25:38

πότε δέ σε εἴδομεν ξένον καὶ συνηγάγομεν ἢ γυμνὸν περιεβάλομεν;

pote de se eidomen xenon kai synēgagomen ē gymnon periebalomen

when now You We saw a stranger And took [You] in? or naked clothed [You]?

25:39

πότε δέ σε εἴδομεν ἀσθενοῦντα ἢ ἐν φυλακῇ καὶ ἤλθομεν πρός σε;

pote de se eidomen asthenounta ē en phylakē kai ēlthomen pros se

when now You We saw ailing or in prison And are come to You?

25:40

Καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Βασιλεὺς ἐρεῖ αὐτοῖς Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ἐφ’ ὅσον ἐποιήσατε ἑνὶ τούτων τῶν ἀδελφῶν μου ἐλαχίστων ἐμοὶ

kai apokritheis ho Basileus erei autois Amēn legō hymin eph’ hoson epoiēsate heni toutōn tōn adelphōn mou elachistōn emoi

And He answering - King He will say to them Truly I say to you against As long as you did [it] to one these of the brothers of Me least to me

25:41

Τότε ἐρεῖ καὶ τοῖς ἐξ εὐωνύμων Πορεύεσθε ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ ‹οἱ› κατηραμένοι εἰς τὸ πῦρ αἰώνιον ἡτοιμασμένον τῷ διαβόλῳ ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ

Tote erei kai tois ex euōnymōn Poreuesthe ap’ emou hoi katēramenoi eis to pyr aiōnion hētoimasmenon tō diabolō angelois autou

Then He will say And on the out of [the] left hand Go from Me those being cursed for the fire eternal having been prepared - devil angels of Him’”

25:42

ἐπείνασα γὰρ καὶ οὐκ ἐδώκατέ μοι φαγεῖν (καὶ) ἐδίψησα ἐποτίσατέ με

epeinasa gar kai ouk edōkate moi phagein kai edipsēsa epotisate me

I hungered for And not you gave Me to eat and I thirsted you gave to drink me

25:43

ξένος ἤμην καὶ οὐ συνηγάγετέ με γυμνὸς περιεβάλετέ ἀσθενὴς ἐν φυλακῇ οὐκ ἐπεσκέψασθέ

xenos ēmēn kai ou synēgagete me gymnos periebalete asthenēs en phylakē ouk epeskepsasthe

a stranger I was And not you took in me naked you clothed sick in prison not you visited

25:44

Τότε ἀποκριθήσονται καὶ αὐτοὶ λέγοντες Κύριε πότε σε εἴδομεν πεινῶντα ἢ διψῶντα ξένον γυμνὸν ἀσθενῆ ἐν φυλακῇ οὐ διηκονήσαμέν σοι;

Tote apokrithēsontai kai autoi legontes Kyrie pote se eidomen peinōnta ē dipsōnta xenon gymnon asthenē en phylakē ou diēkonēsamen soi

Then will answer And yourselves saying Lord when You We saw hungering or thirsting a stranger naked sick in prison not did minister of you?

25:45

Τότε ἀποκριθήσεται αὐτοῖς λέγων Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ἐφ’ ὅσον οὐκ ἐποιήσατε ἑνὶ τούτων τῶν ἐλαχίστων οὐδὲ ἐμοὶ

Tote apokrithēsetai autois legōn Amēn legō hymin eph’ hoson ouk epoiēsate heni toutōn tōn elachistōn oude emoi

Then will He answer to them saying Truly I say to you against As long as not you did [it] to one these of the least nor to me

25:46

Καὶ ἀπελεύσονται οὗτοι εἰς κόλασιν αἰώνιον οἱ δὲ δίκαιοι ζωὴν

kai apeleusontai houtoi eis kolasin aiōnion hoi de dikaioi zōēn

And will go away These for punishment eternal - however righteous [men] life
