19:1

Καὶ ἐγένετο ὅτε ἐτέλεσεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τοὺς λόγους τούτους μετῆρεν ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς τὰ ὅρια Ἰουδαίας πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου
kai egeneto hote etelesen ho Iēsous tous logous toutous metēren apo tēs Galilaias kai ēlthen eis ta horia Ioudaias peran tou Iordanou
And it came to pass when had finished - Jesus the words these He withdrew from - of Galilee And [that] came for the region Judea beyond of the Jordan

καὶ ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοί ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ

Καὶ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ Φαρισαῖοι πειράζοντες αὐτὸν καὶ λέγοντες Εἰ ἔξεστιν ‹ἀνθρώπῳ› ἀπολῦσαι τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ κατὰ πᾶσαν αἰτίαν;
kai prosēlthon autō Pharisaioi peirazontes auton kai legontes Ei exestin anthrōpō apolysai tēn gynaika autou kata pasan aitian
And came to Him Pharisees testing him And saying If it is lawful a man to divorce the wife of Him’” with all cause?

Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Οὐκ ἀνέγνωτε ὅτι ὁ κτίσας ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς Ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἐποίησεν αὐτοὺς
ho de apokritheis eipen Ouk anegnōte hoti ho ktisas ap’ archēs arsen kai thēly epoiēsen autous

καὶ εἶπεν Ἕνεκα τούτου καταλείψει ἄνθρωπος τὸν πατέρα τὴν μητέρα κολληθήσεται τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ ἔσονται οἱ δύο εἰς σάρκα μίαν;
kai eipen Heneka toutou kataleipsei anthrōpos ton patera tēn mētera kollēthēsetai tē gynaiki autou esontai hoi dyo eis sarka mian
And said On account of this will leave a man the father the mother be joined with the wife of Him’” will be - two for flesh one’

ὥστε οὐκέτι εἰσὶν δύο ἀλλὰ σὰρξ μία ὃ οὖν ὁ Θεὸς συνέζευξεν ἄνθρωπος μὴ χωριζέτω
hōste ouketi eisin dyo alla sarx mia ho oun ho Theos synezeuxen anthrōpos mē chōrizetō
so as no longer are two But the flesh one that which therefore - God has joined together a man not let separate

Λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Τί οὖν Μωϋσῆς ἐνετείλατο δοῦναι βιβλίον ἀποστασίου καὶ ἀπολῦσαι; ‹αὐτήν›
legousin autō Ti oun Mōusēs eneteilato dounai biblion apostasiou kai apolysai autēn

Λέγει αὐτοῖς Ὅτι Μωϋσῆς πρὸς τὴν σκληροκαρδίαν ὑμῶν ἐπέτρεψεν ὑμῖν ἀπολῦσαι τὰς γυναῖκας ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς δὲ οὐ γέγονεν οὕτως
legei autois Hoti Mōusēs pros tēn sklērokardian hymōn epetrepsen hymin apolysai tas gynaikas ap’ archēs de ou gegonen houtōs
He says to them Why Moses to the hardness of heart you He allowed to you to divorce the wives from [the] beginning however not had been done thus

λέγω δὲ ὑμῖν ὅτι ὃς ἂν ἀπολύσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ μὴ ἐπὶ πορνείᾳ καὶ γαμήσῃ ἄλλην μοιχᾶται ‹καὶ ὁ ἀπολελυμένην γαμήσας μοιχᾶται›
legō de hymin hoti hos an apolysē tēn gynaika autou mē epi porneia kai gamēsē allēn moichatai kai ho apolelymenēn gamēsas moichatai
I say however to you - who - shall divorce the wife of Him’” not at sexual immorality And shall marry another commits adultery and - her having been divorced marries commits adultery

Λέγουσιν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταί [αὐτοῦ] Εἰ οὕτως ἐστὶν ἡ αἰτία τοῦ ἀνθρώπου μετὰ τῆς γυναικός οὐ συμφέρει γαμῆσαι
legousin autō hoi mathētai autou Ei houtōs estin hē aitia tou anthrōpou meta tēs gynaikos ou sympherei gamēsai

εἰσὶν γὰρ εὐνοῦχοι οἵτινες ἐκ κοιλίας μητρὸς ἐγεννήθησαν οὕτως καὶ εὐνουχίσθησαν ὑπὸ τῶν ἀνθρώπων εὐνούχισαν ἑαυτοὺς διὰ τὴν βασιλείαν οὐρανῶν ὁ δυνάμενος χωρεῖν χωρείτω
eisin gar eunouchoi hoitines ek koilias mētros egennēthēsan houtōs kai eunouchisthēsan hypo tōn anthrōpōn eunouchisan heautous dia tēn basileian ouranōn ho dynamenos chōrein chōreitō

Τότε προσηνέχθησαν αὐτῷ παιδία ἵνα τὰς χεῖρας ἐπιθῇ αὐτοῖς καὶ προσεύξηται οἱ δὲ μαθηταὶ ἐπετίμησαν
Tote prosēnechthēsan autō paidia hina tas cheiras epithē autois kai proseuxētai hoi de mathētai epetimēsan

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἄφετε τὰ παιδία καὶ μὴ κωλύετε αὐτὰ ἐλθεῖν πρός με τῶν γὰρ τοιούτων ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία οὐρανῶν

Καὶ ἰδοὺ εἷς προσελθὼν αὐτῷ εἶπεν Διδάσκαλε τί ἀγαθὸν ποιήσω ἵνα σχῶ ζωὴν αἰώνιον;
kai idou heis proselthōn autō eipen Didaskale ti agathon poiēsō hina schō zōēn aiōnion

Ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Τί με ἐρωτᾷς περὶ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ; εἷς ἐστιν ὁ ἀγαθός εἰ θέλεις εἰς τὴν ζωὴν εἰσελθεῖν τήρησον* τὰς ἐντολάς
ho de eipen autō Ti me erōtas peri tou agathou heis estin ho agathos ei theleis eis tēn zōēn eiselthein tērēson tas entolas

Λέγει αὐτῷ Ποίας; Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν* Τὸ Οὐ φονεύσεις μοιχεύσεις κλέψεις ψευδομαρτυρήσεις

Ἀκούσας δὲ ὁ νεανίσκος τὸν λόγον (τοῦτον) ἀπῆλθεν λυπούμενος ἦν γὰρ ἔχων κτήματα πολλά
akousas de ho neaniskos ton logon touton apēlthen lypoumenos ēn gar echōn ktēmata polla
Having heard however - [a] young man the matter this departed grieving was for having possessions many things

Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι πλούσιος δυσκόλως εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τῶν οὐρανῶν

πάλιν δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν εὐκοπώτερόν ἐστιν κάμηλον διὰ τρυπήματος ῥαφίδος εἰσελθεῖν ἢ πλούσιον [εἰσελθεῖν] εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ Θεοῦ
palin de legō hymin eukopōteron estin kamēlon dia trypēmatos rhaphidos eiselthein ē plousion eiselthein eis tēn basileian tou Theou

Ἀκούσαντες δὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ ἐξεπλήσσοντο σφόδρα λέγοντες Τίς ἄρα δύναται σωθῆναι;
akousantes de hoi mathētai exeplēssonto sphodra legontes Tis ara dynatai sōthēnai

Ἐμβλέψας δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Παρὰ ἀνθρώποις τοῦτο ἀδύνατόν ἐστιν παρὰ Θεῷ πάντα δυνατά

Τότε ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Πέτρος εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ἰδοὺ ἡμεῖς ἀφήκαμεν πάντα καὶ ἠκολουθήσαμέν σοι τί ἄρα ἔσται ἡμῖν;

ho de Iēsous eipen autois Amēn legō hymin hoti hymeis hoi akolouthēsantes moi en tē palingenesia hotan kathisē ho Huios tou anthrōpou epi thronou doxēs autou kathēsesthe kai hymeis dōdeka thronous krinontes tas phylas Israēl
- however Jesus said to them Truly I say to you - you - having followed Me in the regeneration when shall sit down - Son of the of Man at [the] throne glory of Him’” will sit And you twelve thrones judging the tribes O Israel:

καὶ πᾶς ὅστις ἀφῆκεν οἰκίας ἢ ἀδελφοὺς ἀδελφὰς πατέρα μητέρα ‹ἢ γυναῖκα› τέκνα ἀγροὺς ἕνεκεν τοῦ μου* ⇔ ὀνόματός ἑκατονταπλασίονα* λήμψεται ζωὴν αἰώνιον κληρονομήσει
