Mark 13 | Mark 15

14:1

Ἦν δὲ τὸ πάσχα καὶ τὰ ἄζυμα μετὰ δύο ἡμέρας ἐζήτουν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς γραμματεῖς πῶς αὐτὸν ἐν δόλῳ κρατήσαντες ἀποκτείνωσιν

ēn de to pascha kai ta azyma meta dyo hēmeras ezētoun hoi archiereis grammateis pōs auton en dolō kratēsantes apokteinōsin

There was however the Passover And the [Feast of] Unleavened Bread with two days they were seeking - chief priests scribes How him in stealth having taken they might kill [Him]

14:2

ἔλεγον γάρ Μὴ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ μή‿ ποτε ἔσται θόρυβος τοῦ λαοῦ

elegon gar Mē en tē heortē mē pote estai thorybos tou laou

were saying for Not in the feast lest ever it will be an uproar of the people

14:3

Καὶ ὄντος αὐτοῦ ἐν Βηθανίᾳ τῇ οἰκίᾳ Σίμωνος τοῦ λεπροῦ κατακειμένου ἦλθεν γυνὴ ἔχουσα ἀλάβαστρον μύρου νάρδου πιστικῆς πολυτελοῦς συντρίψασα τὴν κατέχεεν τῆς κεφαλῆς

kai ontos autou en Bēthania tē oikia Simōnos tou leprou katakeimenou ēlthen gynē echousa alabastron myrou nardou pistikēs polytelous syntripsasa tēn katecheen tēs kephalēs

And being of Him’” in Bethany the house of Simon of the leper having reclined [that] came a woman having an alabaster flask of fragrant oil of nard pure of great price having broken the she poured [it] on - head

14:4

Ἦσαν δέ τινες ἀγανακτοῦντες πρὸς ἑαυτούς Εἰς τί ἡ ἀπώλεια αὕτη τοῦ μύρου γέγονεν;

ēsan de tines aganaktountes pros heautous Eis ti hē apōleia hautē tou myrou gegonen

Were now some indignant to themselves To Which the waste this of the of fragrant oil has been made?

14:5

ἠδύνατο γὰρ τοῦτο τὸ μύρον πραθῆναι ἐπάνω δηναρίων τριακοσίων καὶ δοθῆναι τοῖς πτωχοῖς ἐνεβριμῶντο αὐτῇ

ēdynato gar touto to myron prathēnai epanō dēnariōn triakosiōn kai dothēnai tois ptōchois enebrimōnto autē

was able for this the fragrant oil to have been sold for above denarii three hundred And to be given on the poor they were grumbling on her

14:6

Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἄφετε αὐτήν τί αὐτῇ κόπους παρέχετε; καλὸν ἔργον ἠργάσατο ἐν ἐμοί

ho de Iēsous eipen Aphete autēn ti autē kopous parechete kalon ergon ērgasato en emoi

- however Jesus said Permit her Which on her trouble do you cause? Good [is] work she did in Me

14:7

πάντοτε γὰρ τοὺς πτωχοὺς ἔχετε μεθ’ ἑαυτῶν καὶ ὅταν θέλητε δύνασθε αὐτοῖς (πάντοτε) εὖ ποιῆσαι ἐμὲ δὲ οὐ

pantote gar tous ptōchous echete meth’ heautōn kai hotan thelēte dynasthe autois pantote eu poiēsai eme de ou

Always for the poor have you with them And when you desire Are you able to them always good to do Me however not

14:8

ὃ ἔσχεν ἐποίησεν προέλαβεν μυρίσαι τὸ σῶμά μου εἰς τὸν ἐνταφιασμόν

ho eschen epoiēsen proelaben myrisai to sōma mou eis ton entaphiasmon

that which he had did She came beforehand to anoint the body of Me for the burial

14:9

ἀμὴν δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν ὅπου ἐὰν κηρυχθῇ τὸ εὐαγγέλιον εἰς ὅλον τὸν κόσμον καὶ ὃ ἐποίησεν αὕτη λαληθήσεται μνημόσυνον αὐτῆς

amēn de legō hymin hopou ean kērychthē to euangelion eis holon ton kosmon kai ho epoiēsen hautē lalēthēsetai mnēmosynon autēs

Truly however I say to you where if shall be proclaimed the gospel for whole the world And that which did this will be spoken of a memorial her

14:10

Καὶ Ἰούδας Ἰσκαριὼθ ὁ εἷς τῶν δώδεκα ἀπῆλθεν πρὸς τοὺς ἀρχιερεῖς ἵνα αὐτὸν παραδοῖ αὐτοῖς

kai Ioudas Iskariōth ho heis tōn dōdeka apēlthen pros tous archiereis hina auton paradoi autois

And Judas Iscariot - alone of the twelve departed to the chief priests so that him offers itself to them

14:11

οἱ δὲ ἀκούσαντες ἐχάρησαν καὶ ἐπηγγείλαντο αὐτῷ ἀργύριον δοῦναι ἐζήτει πῶς αὐτὸν εὐκαίρως παραδοῖ

hoi de akousantes echarēsan kai epēngeilanto autō argyrion dounai ezētei pōs auton eukairōs paradoi

- however having heard [of it] they rejoiced And promised to Him money to give he was seeking How him conveniently offers itself

14:12

Καὶ τῇ πρώτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τῶν ἀζύμων ὅτε τὸ πάσχα ἔθυον λέγουσιν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ Ποῦ θέλεις ἀπελθόντες ἑτοιμάσωμεν ἵνα φάγῃς πάσχα;

kai tē prōtē hēmera tōn azymōn hote to pascha ethyon legousin autō hoi mathētai autou Pou theleis apelthontes hetoimasōmen hina phagēs pascha

And the first days of the of unleavened [bread] when the Passover they were to sacrifice they speak to Him - disciples of Him’” Where do you desire having gone we should prepare so that You may eat Passover?

14:13

Καὶ ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀπαντήσει ὑμῖν ἄνθρωπος κεράμιον ὕδατος βαστάζων ἀκολουθήσατε αὐτῷ

kai apostellei dyo tōn mathētōn autou kai legei autois Hypagete eis tēn polin apantēsei hymin anthrōpos keramion hydatos bastazōn akolouthēsate autō

And he sends two of the disciples of Him’” And He says to them Go for the city will meet to you a man a pitcher water carrying Follow to Him

14:14

καὶ ὅπου ἐὰν εἰσέλθῃ εἴπατε τῷ οἰκοδεσπότῃ ὅτι Ὁ Διδάσκαλος λέγει Ποῦ ἐστιν τὸ κατάλυμά μου πάσχα μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν φάγω;

kai hopou ean eiselthē eipate tō oikodespotē hoti ho Didaskalos legei Pou estin to katalyma mou pascha meta tōn mathētōn phagō

And where if shall enter say - master of the house - - Teacher He says Where is the guest room of Me Passover with of the disciples I may eat?

14:15

καὶ αὐτὸς ὑμῖν δείξει ἀνάγαιον μέγα ἐστρωμένον ἕτοιμον ἐκεῖ ἑτοιμάσατε ἡμῖν

kai autos hymin deixei anagaion mega estrōmenon hetoimon ekei hetoimasate hēmin

And He to you will show an upper room large having been furnished [and] ready there prepare to us

14:16

Καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ μαθηταὶ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὴν πόλιν εὗρον καθὼς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἡτοίμασαν τὸ πάσχα

kai exēlthon hoi mathētai kai ēlthon eis tēn polin heuron kathōs eipen autois hētoimasan to pascha

And have I come forth - disciples And they came for the city having found as said to them they prepared the Passover

14:17

Καὶ ὀψίας γενομένης ἔρχεται μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα

kai opsias genomenēs erchetai meta tōn dōdeka

And evening having come comes with of the twelve

14:18

Καὶ ἀνακειμένων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐσθιόντων ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι εἷς ἐξ ὑμῶν παραδώσει με ἐσθίων μετ’ ἐμοῦ

kai anakeimenōn autōn kai esthiontōn ho Iēsous eipen Amēn legō hymin hoti heis ex hymōn paradōsei me esthiōn met’ emou

And as were reclining of them And were eating - Jesus said Truly I say to you - alone out of you will deliver up me is eating with Me

14:19

ἤρξαντο λυπεῖσθαι καὶ λέγειν αὐτῷ εἷς κατὰ Μήτι ἐγώ;

ērxanto lypeisthai kai legein autō heis kata Mēti egō

began to be grieved And to say to Him alone with Not I?

14:20

Ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Εἷς τῶν δώδεκα ὁ ἐμβαπτόμενος μετ’ ἐμοῦ εἰς τὸ (ἓν) τρύβλιον

ho de eipen autois Heis tōn dōdeka ho embaptomenos met’ emou eis to hen tryblion

- however said to them [It is] one of of the twelve - is dipping with Me for the one bowl

14:21

ὅτι ὁ μὲν Υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὑπάγει καθὼς γέγραπται περὶ αὐτοῦ οὐαὶ δὲ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ δι’ οὗ παραδίδοται καλὸν αὐτῷ εἰ οὐκ ἐγεννήθη ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος

hoti ho men Huios tou anthrōpou hypagei kathōs gegraptai peri autou ouai de tō anthrōpō ekeinō di’ hou paradidotai kalon autō ei ouk egennēthē anthrōpos ekeinos

- - - Son of the of Man goes as it has been written around of Him’” woe however - man that after [some] of whom is delivered Good [is] to Him if not had been born a man that

14:22

Καὶ ἐσθιόντων αὐτῶν λαβὼν ἄρτον εὐλογήσας ἔκλασεν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς εἶπεν Λάβετε τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ σῶμά μου

kai esthiontōn autōn labōn arton eulogēsas eklasen kai edōken autois eipen Labete touto estin to sōma mou

And were eating of them having taken bread having blessed He broke [them] And he gave to them said Take this is the body of Me

14:23

Καὶ λαβὼν ποτήριον εὐχαριστήσας ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἔπιον ἐξ αὐτοῦ πάντες

kai labōn potērion eucharistēsas edōken autois kai epion ex autou pantes

And having taken a cup having given thanks he gave to them And they drank out of of Him’” all

14:24

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ αἷμά μου τῆς διαθήκης ἐκχυννόμενον ὑπὲρ πολλῶν

kai eipen autois Touto estin to haima mou tēs diathēkēs ekchynnomenon hyper pollōn

And said to them This is the blood of Me - covenant is being poured out for many

14:25

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐκέτι οὐ μὴ πίω ἐκ τοῦ γενήματος τῆς ἀμπέλου ἕως ἡμέρας ἐκείνης ὅταν αὐτὸ πίνω καινὸν ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ Θεοῦ

amēn legō hymin hoti ouketi ou mē piō ek tou genēmatos tēs ampelou heōs hēmeras ekeinēs hotan auto pinō kainon en tē basileia Theou

Truly I say to you - no longer not not will I drink from of the fruit - vine until days that when it drink new in the kingdom of God

14:26

Καὶ ὑμνήσαντες ἐξῆλθον εἰς τὸ ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν

kai hymnēsantes exēlthon eis to oros tōn Elaiōn

And having sung a hymn have I come forth for the mountain of the of Olives

14:27

Καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Πάντες σκανδαλισθήσεσθε ⧼ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐν τῇ νυκτὶ ταύτῃ⧽ γέγραπται Πατάξω τὸν ποιμένα τὰ πρόβατα διασκορπισθήσονται

kai legei autois ho Iēsous hoti Pantes skandalisthēsesthe en emoi en tē nykti tautē gegraptai Pataxō ton poimena ta probata diaskorpisthēsontai

And He says to them - Jesus - Everyone you will fall away in to me in the night this it has been written I will strike the a shepherd the sheep will be scattered’

14:28

Ἀλλὰ μετὰ τὸ ἐγερθῆναί με προάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν

Alla meta to egerthēnai me proaxō hymas eis tēn Galilaian

But with the having arisen me will go before you for the Galilee

14:29

Ὁ δὲ Πέτρος ἔφη αὐτῷ Εἰ καὶ πάντες σκανδαλισθήσονται ἀλλ’ οὐκ ἐγώ

ho de Petros ephē autō Ei kai pantes skandalisthēsontai all’ ouk egō

- however Peter He was saying to Him If And all will fall away but not I

14:30

Καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς Ἀμὴν λέγω σοι ὅτι σὺ σήμερον ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ πρὶν ἢ δὶς ἀλέκτορα φωνῆσαι τρίς με ἀπαρνήσῃ

kai legei autō ho Iēsous Amēn legō soi hoti sy sēmeron tautē tē nykti prin ē dis alektora phōnēsai tris me aparnēsē

And He says to Him - Jesus Truly I say to You - yourself now this the night before or twice [the] rooster crows three times me you will deny

14:31

Ὁ δὲ ἐκπερισσῶς ἐλάλει Ἐὰν δέῃ με συναποθανεῖν σοι οὐ μή σε ἀπαρνήσομαι ὡσαύτως καὶ πάντες ἔλεγον

ho de ekperissōs elalei Ean deē me synapothanein soi ou mē se aparnēsomai hōsautōs kai pantes elegon

- however emphatically He was speaking If it is needful me to die with to You not not You will I deny likewise And all were saying

14:32

Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς χωρίον οὗ τὸ ὄνομα Γεθσημανί καὶ λέγει τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ Καθίσατε ὧδε ἕως προσεύξωμαι

kai erchontai eis chōrion hou to onoma Gethsēmani kai legei tois mathētais autou Kathisate hōde heōs proseuxōmai

And they come for a place of whom the [the] name Gethsemane And He says on the disciples of Him’” Sit here until I shall pray

14:33

καὶ παραλαμβάνει τὸν Πέτρον Ἰάκωβον Ἰωάννην μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἤρξατο ἐκθαμβεῖσθαι ἀδημονεῖν

kai paralambanei ton Petron Iakōbon Iōannēn met’ autou ērxato ekthambeisthai adēmonein

And takes with [Him] the Peter James of John with of Him’” he began to be greatly awe-struck deeply distressed

14:34

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Περίλυπός ἐστιν ἡ ψυχή μου ἕως θανάτου μείνατε ὧδε γρηγορεῖτε

kai legei autois Perilypos estin hē psychē mou heōs thanatou meinate hōde grēgoreite

And He says to them Very sorrowful is the soul of Me until of death remain here Watch

14:35

Καὶ προελθὼν μικρὸν ἔπιπτεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ προσηύχετο ἵνα εἰ δυνατόν ἐστιν παρέλθῃ ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἡ ὥρα

kai proelthōn mikron epipten epi tēs gēs kai prosēucheto hina ei dynaton estin parelthē ap’ autou hē hōra

And having gone forward a little He fell at - land And He was praying so that if possible is will have passed away from of Him’” the an hour

14:36

καὶ ἔλεγεν Ἀββᾶ ὁ Πατήρ πάντα δυνατά σοι παρένεγκε τὸ ποτήριον τοῦτο ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ ἀλλ’ οὐ τί ἐγὼ θέλω ἀλλὰ σύ

kai elegen Abba ho Patēr panta dynata soi parenenke to potērion touto ap’ emou all’ ou ti egō thelō alla sy

And He said Abba - Father all possible to You take away the a cup this from Me but not Which I will But You

14:37

Καὶ ἔρχεται καὶ εὑρίσκει αὐτοὺς καθεύδοντας λέγει τῷ Πέτρῳ Σίμων καθεύδεις; οὐκ ἴσχυσας μίαν ὥραν γρηγορῆσαι;

kai erchetai kai heuriskei autous katheudontas legei tō Petrō Simōn katheudeis ouk ischysas mian hōran grēgorēsai

And comes And finds they sleeping He says - Peter Simon are you asleep? not were you able one hour to watch?

14:38

γρηγορεῖτε καὶ προσεύχεσθε ἵνα μὴ ἔλθητε εἰς πειρασμόν τὸ μὲν πνεῦμα πρόθυμον ἡ δὲ σὰρξ ἀσθενής

grēgoreite kai proseuchesthe hina mē elthēte eis peirasmon to men pneuma prothymon hē de sarx asthenēs

Watch And praying so that not you may enter for temptation the - spirit [is] willing the however the flesh weak

14:39

Καὶ πάλιν ἀπελθὼν προσηύξατο τὸν αὐτὸν λόγον εἰπών

kai palin apelthōn prosēuxato ton auton logon eipōn

And again having gone He prayed the him matter having said

14:40

καὶ πάλιν ἐλθὼν εὗρεν αὐτοὺς καθεύδοντας ἦσαν γὰρ αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ καταβαρυνόμενοι οὐκ ᾔδεισαν τί ἀποκριθῶσιν αὐτῷ

kai palin elthōn heuren autous katheudontas ēsan gar autōn hoi ophthalmoi katabarynomenoi ouk ēdeisan ti apokrithōsin autō

And again having come she found they sleeping they were for of them - eyes heavy not they knew Which they should answer to Him

14:41

Καὶ ἔρχεται τὸ τρίτον καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Καθεύδετε λοιπὸν ἀναπαύεσθε ἀπέχει ἦλθεν ἡ ὥρα ἰδοὺ παραδίδοται ὁ Υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰς τὰς χεῖρας τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν

kai erchetai to triton kai legei autois Katheudete loipon anapauesthe apechei ēlthen hē hōra idou paradidotai ho Huios tou anthrōpou eis tas cheiras tōn hamartōlōn

And comes the third time And He says to them Are you sleeping still taking your rest is kept [that] came the an hour Behold is delivered - Son of the of Man for the hands of the sinners

14:42

ἐγείρεσθε ἄγωμεν ἰδοὺ ὁ παραδιδούς με ἤγγικεν

egeiresthe agōmen idou ho paradidous me ēngiken

Rise let us go Behold - betraying me has drawn near

14:43

Καὶ εὐθὺς ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος παραγίνεται 〈〈ὁ〉 Ἰούδας εἷς τῶν δώδεκα καὶ μετ’ ὄχλος μετὰ μαχαιρῶν ξύλων παρὰ ἀρχιερέων γραμματέων πρεσβυτέρων

kai euthys eti autou lalountos paraginetai ho Ioudas heis tōn dōdeka kai met’ ochlos meta machairōn xylōn para archiereōn grammateōn presbyterōn

And immediately still of Him’” is speaking comes up - Judas alone of the twelve And with crowd with swords clubs by chief priests scribes elders

14:44

Δεδώκει δὲ ὁ παραδιδοὺς αὐτὸν σύσσημον αὐτοῖς λέγων Ὃν ἂν φιλήσω αὐτός ἐστιν κρατήσατε καὶ ἀπάγετε ἀσφαλῶς

dedōkei de ho paradidous auton syssēmon autois legōn Hon an philēsō autos estin kratēsate kai apagete asphalōs

Had given however - delivering up him a sign to them saying Whom - I shall kiss Himself is seize And lead [Him] away securely

14:45

καὶ ἐλθὼν εὐθὺς προσελθὼν αὐτῷ λέγει Ῥαββί κατεφίλησεν αὐτόν

kai elthōn euthys proselthōn autō legei Rhabbi katephilēsen auton

And having come immediately having come to [her] to Him He says Rabbi he kissed Him

14:46

Οἱ δὲ ἐπέβαλαν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῷ καὶ ἐκράτησαν αὐτόν

hoi de epebalan tas cheiras autō kai ekratēsan auton

- however they laid the hands to Him And they kept Him

14:47

εἷς δέ τις τῶν παρεστηκότων σπασάμενος τὴν μάχαιραν ἔπαισεν τὸν δοῦλον τοῦ ἀρχιερέως καὶ ἀφεῖλεν αὐτοῦ τὸ ὠτάριον

heis de tis tōn parestēkotōn spasamenos tēn machairan epaisen ton doulon tou archiereōs kai apheilen autou to ōtarion

alone now anyone of the standing by having drawn the sword struck the a servant of the the high priest And cut off of Him’” the ear

14:48

Καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ὡς ἐπὶ λῃστὴν ἐξήλθατε μετὰ μαχαιρῶν καὶ ξύλων συλλαβεῖν με

kai apokritheis ho Iēsous eipen autois hōs epi lēstēn exēlthate meta machairōn kai xylōn syllabein me

And He answering - Jesus said to them [It is] like at a robber are you come out with swords And clubs to capture me

14:49

καθ’ ἡμέραν ἤμην πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ διδάσκων καὶ οὐκ ἐκρατήσατέ με ἀλλ’ ἵνα πληρωθῶσιν αἱ γραφαί

kath’ hēmeran ēmēn pros hymas en tō hierō didaskōn kai ouk ekratēsate me all’ hina plērōthōsin hai graphai

against day I was to you in - temple teaching And not you did seize me but so that may be fulfilled the Scriptures

14:50

Καὶ ἀφέντες αὐτὸν ἔφυγον πάντες

kai aphentes auton ephygon pantes

And having left him fled all

14:51

Καὶ νεανίσκος τις συνηκολούθει αὐτῷ περιβεβλημένος σινδόνα ἐπὶ γυμνοῦ καὶ κρατοῦσιν αὐτόν

kai neaniskos tis synēkolouthei autō peribeblēmenos sindona epi gymnou kai kratousin auton

And [a] young man anyone was following to Him having cast a linen cloth at [his] naked [body] And they seize Him

14:52

ὁ δὲ καταλιπὼν τὴν σινδόνα γυμνὸς ἔφυγεν

ho de katalipōn tēn sindona gymnos ephygen

- however having left the a linen cloth naked he fled

14:53

Καὶ ἀπήγαγον τὸν Ἰησοῦν πρὸς ἀρχιερέα καὶ συνέρχονται πάντες οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς πρεσβύτεροι γραμματεῖς

kai apēgagon ton Iēsoun pros archierea kai synerchontai pantes hoi archiereis presbyteroi grammateis

And they led away the Jesus to high priest And come together all - chief priests elders scribes

14:54

καὶ ὁ Πέτρος ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ ἕως ἔσω εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως ἦν συνκαθήμενος μετὰ τῶν ὑπηρετῶν θερμαινόμενος πρὸς τὸ φῶς

kai ho Petros apo makrothen ēkolouthēsen autō heōs esō eis tēn aulēn tou archiereōs ēn synkathēmenos meta tōn hypēretōn thermainomenos pros to phōs

And - Peter from afar he followed to Him until within for the court of the the high priest was sitting with of the officers warming himself to the fire

14:55

Οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ ὅλον τὸ συνέδριον ἐζήτουν κατὰ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ μαρτυρίαν εἰς θανατῶσαι αὐτόν οὐχ ηὕρισκον

14:56

πολλοὶ γὰρ ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἴσαι αἱ μαρτυρίαι οὐκ ἦσαν

polloi gar epseudomartyroun kat’ autou kai isai hai martyriai ouk ēsan

many for were bearing false testimony With of Him’” And alike the testimonies not they were

14:57

Καί τινες ἀναστάντες ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ’ αὐτοῦ λέγοντες

kai tines anastantes epseudomartyroun kat’ autou legontes

And some having risen up were bearing false testimony With of Him’” saying

14:58

Ὅτι Ἡμεῖς ἠκούσαμεν αὐτοῦ λέγοντος ὅτι Ἐγὼ καταλύσω τὸν ναὸν τοῦτον χειροποίητον καὶ διὰ τριῶν ἡμερῶν ἄλλον ἀχειροποίητον οἰκοδομήσω

Hoti Hēmeis ēkousamen autou legontos hoti Egō katalysō ton naon touton cheiropoiēton kai dia triōn hēmerōn allon acheiropoiēton oikodomēsō

Why We heard of Him’” saying - I [am] will destroy the temple this made with hands And on account of three days another not made with hands I will build

14:59

καὶ οὐδὲ οὕτως ἴση ἦν ἡ μαρτυρία αὐτῶν

kai oude houtōs isē ēn hē martyria autōn

And nor thus alike was the testimony of them

14:60

Καὶ ἀναστὰς ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς εἰς μέσον ἐπηρώτησεν τὸν Ἰησοῦν λέγων Οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν; τί οὗτοί σου καταμαρτυροῦσιν;

kai anastas ho archiereus eis meson epērōtēsen ton Iēsoun legōn Ouk apokrinē ouden ti houtoi sou katamartyrousin

And having risen up - high priest for midst He asked the Jesus saying Not answer You nothing? Which these of You testify against?

14:61

Ὁ δὲ ἐσιώπα καὶ οὐκ ἀπεκρίνατο οὐδέν Πάλιν ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς ἐπηρώτα αὐτὸν λέγει αὐτῷ Σὺ εἶ Χριστὸς Υἱὸς τοῦ Εὐλογητοῦ;

ho de esiōpa kai ouk apekrinato ouden palin ho archiereus epērōta auton legei autō Sy ei Christos Huios tou Eulogētou

- however He was silent And not did He answer Nothing Again - high priest He was asking him He says to Him You are Christ Son of the Blessed [One]?

14:62

Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἐγώ εἰμι καὶ ὄψεσθε τὸν Υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκ δεξιῶν καθήμενον τῆς δυνάμεως ἐρχόμενον μετὰ τῶν νεφελῶν οὐρανοῦ

ho de Iēsous eipen Egō eimi kai opsesthe ton Huion tou anthrōpou ek dexiōn kathēmenon tēs dynameōs erchomenon meta tōn nephelōn ouranou

- however Jesus said I am [He] And you will see the Son of the of Man from [Your] right hand sitting - power coming with of the clouds air

14:63

Ὁ δὲ ἀρχιερεὺς διαρρήξας τοὺς χιτῶνας αὐτοῦ λέγει Τί ἔτι χρείαν ἔχομεν μαρτύρων;

ho de archiereus diarrēxas tous chitōnas autou legei Ti eti chreian echomen martyrōn

- however high priest having torn the tunics of Him’” He says What still need have we of witnesses?

14:64

ἠκούσατε τῆς βλασφημίας τί ὑμῖν φαίνεται; Οἱ δὲ πάντες κατέκριναν αὐτὸν ἔνοχον εἶναι θανάτου

ēkousate tēs blasphēmias ti hymin phainetai hoi de pantes katekrinan auton enochon einai thanatou

You heard - blasphemy Which to you does it appear? - however all condemned him deserving to be of death

14:65

Καὶ ἤρξαντό τινες ἐμπτύειν αὐτῷ καὶ περικαλύπτειν αὐτοῦ τὸ πρόσωπον κολαφίζειν αὐτὸν λέγειν Προφήτευσον οἱ ὑπηρέται ῥαπίσμασιν ἔλαβον

kai ērxanto tines emptyein autō kai perikalyptein autou to prosōpon kolaphizein auton legein Prophēteuson hoi hypēretai rhapismasin elabon

And began some to spit upon to Him And to cover up of Him’” the appearance to strike him to say Prophesy - officers with the palms received

14:66

Καὶ ὄντος τοῦ Πέτρου κάτω ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ ἔρχεται μία τῶν παιδισκῶν ἀρχιερέως

kai ontos tou Petrou katō en tē aulē erchetai mia tōn paidiskōn archiereōs

And being of the Peter below in the courtyard comes one of the servant girls the high priest

14:67

καὶ ἰδοῦσα τὸν Πέτρον θερμαινόμενον ἐμβλέψασα αὐτῷ λέγει Καὶ σὺ μετὰ τοῦ Ναζαρηνοῦ ἦσθα Ἰησοῦ

kai idousa ton Petron thermainomenon emblepsasa autō legei kai sy meta tou Nazarēnou ēstha Iēsou

And having seen the Peter warming himself having looked at to Him He says And yourself with of the Nazarene were of Jesus

14:68

Ὁ δὲ ἠρνήσατο λέγων Οὔτε οἶδα οὔτε ἐπίσταμαι σὺ τί λέγεις καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἔξω εἰς τὸ προαύλιον ‹καὶ ἀλέκτωρ ἐφώνησεν›

ho de ērnēsato legōn Oute oida oute epistamai sy ti legeis kai exēlthen exō eis to proaulion kai alektōr ephōnēsen

- however he denied [it] saying Neither I know neither understand yourself Which say You And it came forth out for the porch and the rooster crowed

14:69

Καὶ ἡ παιδίσκη ἰδοῦσα αὐτὸν ἤρξατο πάλιν λέγειν τοῖς παρεστῶσιν ὅτι Οὗτος ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐστιν

kai hē paidiskē idousa auton ērxato palin legein tois parestōsin hoti Houtos ex autōn estin

And the servant girl having seen him he began again to say on the standing by - This out of of them is

14:70

Ὁ δὲ πάλιν ἠρνεῖτο Καὶ μετὰ μικρὸν οἱ παρεστῶτες ἔλεγον τῷ Πέτρῳ Ἀληθῶς ἐξ αὐτῶν εἶ καὶ γὰρ Γαλιλαῖος ‹καὶ ἡ λαλιά σου ὁμοιάζει›

ho de palin ērneito kai meta mikron hoi parestōtes elegon tō Petrō Alēthōs ex autōn ei kai gar Galilaios kai hē lalia sou homoiazei

- however again he denied And with a little - standing by were saying - Peter Truly out of of them are And for a Galilean and the speech of You agrees

14:71

Ὁ δὲ ἤρξατο ἀναθεματίζειν καὶ ὀμνύναι ὅτι Οὐκ οἶδα τὸν ἄνθρωπον τοῦτον ὃν λέγετε

ho de ērxato anathematizein kai omnynai hoti Ouk oida ton anthrōpon touton hon legete

- however he began to curse And to swear - Not I know the man this which say [that]

14:72

καὶ εὐθὺς ἐκ δευτέρου ἀλέκτωρ ἐφώνησεν Καὶ ἀνεμνήσθη ὁ Πέτρος τὸ ῥῆμα ὡς εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Πρὶν ἀλέκτορα δὶς ⇔ φωνῆσαι τρίς με ἀπαρνήσῃ ἐπιβαλὼν ἔκλαιεν

kai euthys ek deuterou alektōr ephōnēsen kai anemnēsthē ho Petros to rhēma hōs eipen autō Iēsous hoti Prin alektora dis phōnēsai tris me aparnēsē epibalōn eklaien

And immediately from the second time the rooster He called And remembered - Peter the saying as said to Him Jesus - Before [the] rooster twice crows three times me you will deny having broken down he began to weep
